What is Curatron’s FLASH PEMF?
The FLASH series of PEMF devices are the newest generation of Impulse Pulsed ElectroMagnetic Field therapy. Often referred to as “ringers” because the detectable pulses are likened to one striking a bell to cause the resonation. In most competitive devices, increasing the intensity of the pulse also can raise the discomfort in receiving it, thus limiting the maximum value of the session based on the client’s level of tolerance. Curatron has developed a system which allows the application intensity to reach maximum levels without this discomfort. This amazing development allows us to offer some of the most powerful therapeutic devices available, outside of hospital settings.
While often used for high-intensity pain relief and orthopedic healing, impulse (or "high-intensity") PEMF therapy is utilized across several other medical, dental, and performance-related fields.
Clinical & Specialized Medical Uses
-
Mental Health (Transcranial PEMF): Specific high-intensity pulses are used in Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS), an FDA-approved treatment for treatment-resistant depression. It works by modulating brain activity and neurotransmitters like serotonin and dopamine.
-
Neurological Recovery: Research is exploring its use for stroke recovery, traumatic brain injury (TBI), and neurodegenerative diseases like Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s. It may help reduce neuroinflammation and promote neuroplasticity.
-
Vascular Health: Impulse PEMF can improve endothelial function and peripheral blood flow, showing promise in managing hypertension and improving circulation in diabetic patients with foot ulcers.
-
Dental Implantology: In dentistry, miniaturized impulse devices are used to improve implant stability and accelerate osseointegration (bone-to-metal bonding).
Performance & Recovery
-
Athletic Recovery: High-intensity pulses help clear metabolic waste like lactic acid and reduce Delayed Onset Muscle Soreness (DOMS). It is used by professional athletes to speed up recovery times by 20–40%.
-
Muscle Activation: Some studies indicate that applying impulse PEMF during a warm-up can increase the activity of Type-II muscle fibers, potentially enhancing explosive performance in activities like sprinting or jumping.
Veterinary Medicine
-
Equine and Small Animal Care: Impulse PEMF is widely used in veterinary clinics to treat orthopedic injuries, reduce inflammation in performance horses, and assist with separation anxiety or spinal issues in pets.

What are the Curatron Series 2000 PEMF devices?
Curatronic Ltd. (known as Curatron, CuraVet,and ParMed), launched its first oscillating, gated-sine wave pulsed electromagnetic field devices, the Series 2000 models, in early 2000. This type of PEMF devices are often referred to as “hummers.” From the Home Therapy (HT) system to the computer-programmed Series 2000 3D and its proprietary multi-coil 3-D mattress and 1600 Gauss 3-D therapy padded coil, there remains no other comparable product offering anywhere in the world. Curatron has become the leading manufacturer of PEMF technology with a range of true energy medicine devices and impulse high intensity PEMF systems.

Oscillating Resonant Gated-Wave Pulsed Electromagnetic Field (PEMF) therapy is a subcategory of PEMF technology designed to influence biological systems by matching the natural frequencies of cells. Unlike standard impulse PEMF, which may use a wide range of pulse shapes, these devices typically focus on delivering a specific, "resonant" waveform to trigger cellular healing and communication.

Why They Are Called "Hummers"
Devices in this category are colloquially known as "hummers" because of the specific way they deliver energy compared to other PEMF types:
-
Steady Frequency: Unlike "ringers" (high-power devices that deliver intense, percussive bursts of energy), hummers emit a repeating, steady waveform.
-
Acoustic Analogy: They are said to "hum" a specific frequency into the body to activate energetic structures through resonance.
-
Lower Intensity: Hummers are typically low-powered devices that focus on longer-duration exposure to subtle frequencies rather than short, high-intensity pulses.

Key Components of the Therapy
The name describes the technical method used to deliver the electromagnetic signal:
-
Oscillating: The field varies periodically, often using waveforms like sine or triangle waves.
-
Resonant: The therapy aims to match the Schumann Resonance (Earth's natural 7.83 Hz pulse) or specific cellular "signatures" to encourage natural correction and recovery.
-
Gated: This refers to the pulse repetition frequency—the "on-off" pattern that allows the magnetic field to be active only for a fraction of the total therapy time.
-
Pulsed Electromagnetic Field: The core technology uses current-generated magnetic pulses to induce tiny electrical currents in tissue, which can enhance bone and tissue healing.
Common applications for this type of therapy include managing chronic pain, inflammation, and supporting recovery from musculoskeletal injuries.
